The anime’s second season was first announced in January 2018, but it’s just been confirmed that it will air sometime next year. Studio MAPPA and the original crew will return for the sequel.

A promotional event for the live-action show’s home video release told fans that a second season and a movie was being produced. Both projects will debut in the spring 2019 season, with the original cast reprising their roles.

Kakegurui -Compulsive Gambler- is set at an elite academy where students stake everything on bets. Losers face a wide range of penalties, such as becoming a personal slave or expulsion. However, the academy’s balance of power is shaken once Yumeko Jabami enrolls.

Both adaptations are available for streaming on Netflix.
