Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai (We Never Learn) is about to get an anime!
GMO Internet, Inc. just registered an internet domain for the anime adaptation and a @bokuben_anime Twitter account has been launched. According to the domain placeholder, Aniplex is producing the adaptation — which means their A-1 Pictures studio may be working on the animation.
Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai is Weekly Shonen Jump‘s latest rom-com, and it has been making waves with readers. Taishi Tsutsui’s story follows a well-educated boy tutoring two girls in hopes of getting a scholarship. The challenge is that the girls want to major outside of their expertise – Ogata is a science whiz with an interest in liberal arts and Furuhashi is a bookworm who wants to be a scientist.
The setup screams HAREM, which it is at times. However, Bokuben has a likable cast and the male lead (Yuiga) has an actual personality. There’s also a ton of humor and some helpful study tips!
Keep an eye out for official details soon.
