Scum's Wish has found itself in hot water!
Japan's Broadcasting Ethics and Program Improvement Organization (BPO) has been receiving complaints about "extreme kissing involving high school students" in a late-night anime.
The complain reads, "There was an extreme kiss scene with high school students in a television anime. It was a late-night time slot, but it's not the kind of content to broadcast on a regular airborne signal that anyone can easily view."
The group does not name drop Scum's Wish, but online fans believe the series in question is Scum's Wish, due to the amount of intense kiss scenes in the anime.
Despite the complaints, the BPO does not have any power to influence the content that is shown on TV, but they can direct the complaints to lawmakers. In the past, the group has received complaints about sexual content in Detective Conan, Osomatsu-san, and Yo-kai Watch.
