The creator of Yona of the Dawn, Mizuho Kusanagi, announced this past Monday that the manga will be going on a hiatus due to the Kumamoto earthquakes. Kusunagi lives in Kumamoto Prefecture, but her editorial team confirmed on Twitter that she was not injured in the incident.

Not much else is known about the incident, however Kusanagi explained that she would do her best to return to work quickly.
Because of the hiatus, the manga will not run as scheduled in the 11th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume.
