Community member MoeQueen submitted a post earlier today showing the flyer bundled with the seventh volume of “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” manga, announcing a full TV series in Fall. Since then, the official website has gone up and additional information have been discovered on the Japanese site moca-news.
The Ancient Magus’ Bride will be a 2-cour series, which means it will run for 24 episodes. It will have the same production staff as the 3-episode OVA by Wit Studio, with Director Norihiro Naganuma at the helm. The four main voice actors have also been confirmed to reprise their roles from the OVA.
The website also reveals some cool early merchandise for fans of the manga and OVA, with a wall scroll, a poster and some keychains. Along with these, there’s also a bonus illustration for the Volume 1 Blu-ray that’s planned to be released late November.
The Ancient Magus’ Bride revolves around Hatori Chise, an abused and neglected girl, meeting the demon-like magus who obtained her through a slave auction. The magus frees her and offers her a deal which will either lead to her happiness or sink her even deeper into darkness – become the magus’ apprentice and bride.
Fans all over the internet are excited to have a 2-cour adaptation of this top-selling manga. Are you adding this to your watch list?
