“Made in Abyss” Anime to Have an Hour Long Finale

The official Twitter account for the Made in Abyss anime adaptation revealed that the series finale will be an hour long special. The finale will air on September 29th.

Made in Abyss chronicles the challenges that Riko faces as she tries to become a Cave Raider. There is an unexplored cave system known as the “Abyss” which houses mysterious creatures and strange artifacts. Riko lives in a town that is at the edge of the Abyss with other orphans. She has dreams of becoming a “Cave Raider” like her mother and to solve the mystery of the Abyss. While exploring one day, she discovers a robot that looks like a human boy.

Akihito Tsukushi has been writing Made in Abyss since October 2012, and it’s currently serialized in Web Comic  Gamma.
