Robin Williams flaunted his love of anime on several different occasions, including in his movie One Hour Photo. In his Reddit AMA, he mentioned he liked Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Blood: The Last Vampire in addition to Neon Genesis Evangelion. May he rest in peace.
The main man behind the first set of Spiderman reboot movies is a massive Robotech fan, and by massive I mean such a huge fan that he actually acquired the rights to the series with his production company and has a new movie in the works.

As a fan of both Blood: The Last Vampire and Ghost in the Shell, he personally asked Production I.G. to do the animated scenes for Kill Bill.
The lead singer of the band Paramore mentioned in an interview that she went with her now signature orange hair because she wanted to look like an anime character. Heck, she even cosplayed as Saya from Blood: The Last Vampire on stage as seen above.
He likes Pokemon, and that makes sense seeing as he is basically Machoke.
I have a massive soft spot for fantasy and mech anime. When I'm not failing miserably at trying to teach myself Japanese in my free time, you can probably find me playing League of Legends or DotA. Also, I'm as much a Gear-head as I am a weeaboo. Gendo did nothing wrong.
