Author Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrator Miyama-Zero created High School DxD in 2008 and published 23 volumes so far. The series centers around the dim-witted pervert Issei, who is a second-year high school student that is killed on his first date. Issei is reincarnated as a devil and serves as Rias’ underling.

Three anime seasons, four OVAs, an on-going manga adaptation, and two video games have been produced for the popular ecchi light novel series.
