“Fairy Tail” Creator Celebrates Manga’s End with Special Art

All good things must come to an end! Hiro Mashima‘s final Fairy Tail chapter was published, and he celebrated by sharing the colored intro page.

Mashima also thanked Fairy Tail fans in a separate Tweet:

“Today, I received a lot of messages from people. Thank you so much for everything up to now! Fairy Tail has become a work loved around the world, and before I knew it, it became something that is not only mine. I also want to thank Fairy Tail. I am who I am now because of Fairy Tail. Thanks, Fairy Tail!

While the manga has ended, Mashima confirmed that a final Fairy Tail anime season was being produced. He also hinted last month that while the manga is ended, Fairy Tail itself really over. Mashima didn’t clarify if he was talking about the anime or future spin-offs, but he has stated that Fairy Tail “…doesn’t really feel like it’s over.”
