‘Devilman Crybaby’ Has Fans Sharing Their Shock on Social Media

Netflix has released all of Devilman Crybaby, which is a new adaptation of Go Nagai’s classic 1972 Devilman manga.

At first, fans were sure what to expect with the adaptation, since it’s Netflix’s first true original anime. Well, unless you count Neo Yokio

Devilman is a forgotten series among modern fans, so it couldn’t bank on name recognition. The new adaptation is directed by Masaaki Yuasa, whose past works are divisive. However, social media can’t stop gushing about it!

Fans don’t know what to make of the gratuitous sex, graphic gore, nihilistic view of humanity, and horrors of war. Some fans love while others are voicing their concerns.
