‘Beatless’ Anime’s Final Arc is Delayed Until this September

Are you enjoying the anime adaptation of Beatless? Sci-fi stories that double as social commentary is pretty neat, right? Well, it’s too bad you’ll have to wait until September to watch the finale.

The anime’s official website shared the disappointing news, saying that the four-episode Beatless Final Stage will air sometime in September. Studio Diomedéa didn’t give a reason for the delay, but it’s worth noting that four compilation episodes have already aired.

The two-cour adaptation premiered on January 12 on the MBS’ Animeism block, which is designed to appeal to non-otaku anime fans. Beatless takes place in a future where advanced AI surpasses human intelligence. Lacia is an AI unit that meets Arato, and the two try to learn if artificial beings and humans can co-exist.

Satoshi Hase and redjuice launched the original light novel in 2012, which has received positive reception for not being a “typical light novel.”
