Yakuza & Psionic Girls Collide in Spring’s ‘Hinamatsuri’

The Yakuza and telekinetic-powered girls collide in the anime adaptation of Hinamatsuri. A live-streamed special revealed that Hinamatsuri will debut on April 6.

Kei Oikawa (Outbreak Company My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!) is directing the anime with scripts written by Keiichiro Ochi (Outbreak Compay My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!). Katsura Matsubara will serve as the assistant director and Kanetoshi Misawa (Uta no Prince-sama) is the chief animation director. Studio feel is producing the animation.

The previously announced cast includes:

Takako Tanaka (first major role) as Hina, a powerful psionic that lives with Nitta as his daughter. Despite her talent, Hina acts like a lazy freeloader.

Yoshiki Nakajima (Jiro Yamashita in The iDOLM@STER SideM) as Yoshifumi Nitta, a young yakuza that is respected by the Ashikawa-gumi.

Rie Murakawa (Hotaru Ichijou in Non Non Biyori) as Anzu, a psionic girl sent to eliminate Nitta. Anzu is ignorant of the outside and socially awkward, which causes her to live a homeless life.

Kaede Hondo (Rin Tamaki in A Place Further Than The Universe) as Hitomi Mishima, who is Hina’s classmate and helps Nitta watch over her. Hitomi works as a bartender and is seen as reliable by others.

Yoko Hikasa (Rias Gremory in High School DxD) as Utako, the manager of the Little Song bar. Utako is willing to take care of others, but she also skips work a lot.

Ari Ozawa (Benitoite in Land of the Lustrous) as Mao, a psionic girl who knows Hina and Anzu. She learned survival skills while living on an unpopulated island, but suffers from loneliness.

Tsuyoshi Koyama (Fisher Ness in Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt) as Masaru Ofuna, a man who works under the leader of the Ashikawa-gumi. While he approves of Nitta, his actions towards the subordinate vary based on the situation.

Kengo Kawanishi (Rei Kiriyama in March Comes in Like a Lion) as Sabu, Nitto’s troublemaking underling.

Masao Ohtake’s supernatural-comedy series follows Yoshifumi Nitta, a young but clever member of the Ashikawa-gumi. Nitta’s comfortable life changes after meeting Hina, an emotionless psionic girl that crashes into his apartment. Despite having an awesome power, Hina is lazy and sloppy, so she decides to live with Nitta as his daughter. Now Nitta has to pretend to be a recent divorcee single father and protect Nitta from an organization that wants her eliminated.
