WTF Happened to Digimon?

When did Digimon get ecchi?

So, I saw the first three Digimon Adventure tri. movies recently in anticipation of the final movie, which is set for release on February 25. Anyways, I decided to catch up with older titles in the franchise, and what I found was a little surprising…

When did Digimon get ecchi? I know Angewomon from the first series was a little risque, but not quite like Lillithmon from Digimon Fusion!

And it’s not just Lilithmon. Rosemon from Digimon Savers had a bit of a jiggle during certain scenes…

But it was Digimon Fusion that made me question if the franchise was still aimed at kids. Just look at Mervamon! And these just a handful of her butt and camel shots.

Digimon Fusion also has Lilithmon, who is basically a ecchi goddess thanks to being a succubus. Just look at her design!

And let’s not forget the beautiful world of Digimon Collectors. It’s a free-to-play mobile card game, which is all the rage these days. Here are some of the card art…Bandai knows their audience so well.

Not that I’m complaining or anything, I was just legitimately surprised that Digimon has become increasingly ecchi over the years.
