‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Artist Sui Ishida Shares Character From a New Project

Sui Ishida shared a brief tease of a new project he’s been working. Ever since ending Tokyo Ghoul, fans have been wondering what he’ll do and if it’ll be related to Tokyo Ghoul.

Well, Ishida didn’t say what his new project is, but he did tease one of the characters — a boy named Mitsuki Shirota. Here is his Tweet:

A very happy New Year. Although my greeting wasn’t ready at the end, I ended Tokyo Ghoul:re and it was one of the milestones in my life. I’m trying to do some work outside of manga in 2019, and I hope to even come up with an idea for a new work. Thank you again for this last year. (The picture is of a boy to be used in a project).

What’s interesting is that Ishida is looking to expand beyond the manga industry — perhaps we’ll see Shirota in an original anime written by Ishida? What do you hope he works on?
