Short-format anime are fun little segments that are shorter than 20 minutes but still pack in plenty of fun. Usually, they are comedy or slice-of-life and every season has a handful of them. These are the most talked about ones from the Fall 2017 season so far.

What’s it about: Rice boys battle noodle boys to determine the better high-carb food.

Who should watch it: Fans who like bishounen paired with rice and noodles puns. Watch it while eating instant ramen.


5Taisho Mebiusline Chicchaisan

What’s it about: A young man travels to Tokyo with a guardian sword, and is suddenly chibi-fied.

Who should watch it: Fans of bishounen, chibi, Taisho-era imagery, and lite-yaoi.


6Pingu in the City

What’s it about: Noot noot noot.

Who should watch it: Noooooooooooooot!!
