Everyone is familiar with Masashi Kishimoto and his Naruto manga series, but how well do you know his twin brother?
That’s right, one of the industry’s most popular mangaka has a younger twin brother who also is a mangaka. Seishi Kishimoto hasn’t gained a large international following, but he’s fairly successful in Japan with a few published manga.
666 Satan (O Parts-Hunter)
Kurenai no Ookami to Ashikase no Hitsuji
They have all had respectable runs, but Seishi’s shounen series have always been compared to Masashi’s Naruto. Both creators have a similar art style and feature story beats that center around a boy overcoming great obstacles.
However, Seishi is determined to carve out his own niche with Mad Chimera World. For starters, it’s an uncensored seinen.
Mad Chimera World takes place in a world ran by female chimera that eat their male counterparts. The story follows two young protagonists who are trying to survive the constant onslaught of chimera attacks.
Unlike Seishi’s previous works, Mad Chimera World features a lot of body-horror.
And plenty of weird stuff.
Mad Chimera World is a trip and Seishi is stepping out of his comfort zone. The series is currently being published in the seinen magazine Morning Two.
