Are you ready to enter the magical world of illusions? Then strap in as the attractive Senpai and her assistant attempt to conquer stage-fright in Tejina Senpai (Magical Sempai).
AZU launched Magical Sempai in February 2016, and it has gained a cult following due to Senpai’s awkwardness. It doesn’t hurt that there’s a fair bit of ecchi, great comedic timing, and strong chemistry among the cast.
Kodansha’s Young Magazine announced that LIDEN FILMS (Boarding School Juliet / The Heroic Legend of Arslan) is producing the anime adaptation. Fumiaki Usui (assistant director for Boarding School Juliet and Poco’s Udon World) is directing, Rintarou Ikeda (Love Tyrant) is writing the scripts, and Eriko Itou (Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home assistant director) is the chief animation director.
Magical Sempai doesn’t have a release window yet outside of a vague 2019, but perspective fans can check the manga out on Comixology.
