Lovers Embark on Deprived Furry Vengence in ‘Gleipnir’

Has the absence of new and interesting ideas left you dissatisfied with most modern anime? Or, dare I say, do you miss the depravity of old-school OVAs from the ’80s? Then you might want to keep an eye on Gleipnir.

Gleipnir is a macabre twist on the romance, action, and ecchi genres showcasing young love and vengeance. It’s a boy-meets-girl story that involves a fur-suit, familial feuding, and lots of nudity.

Shuichi is a typical high school boy who lives in a boring town… and has the ability to transform into a dog fursuit with an oversized handgun. After saving Claire’s life, she decides to wear Shuichi so that she can kill her sister Elena in a twisted mission of revenge.

Sun Takeda’s manga bizarre manga is being animated by a surprisingly talented team. Gleipnir is being led by director Kazuhiro Yoneda (Yona of the Dawn Hozuki’s Coolheadedness), screenwriter Shinichi Inotsume (Yona of the Dawn Persona 5 the Animation), and character designer Takahiro Kishida (Durarara!! Haikyuu!!). PINE JAM (Just Because! I Want to Eat Your Pancreas) is producing the animation.
