‘Kemono Friends’ Director Reveals New ‘Hentatsu’ Anime

TATSUKI is the talented, cult-like director of Kemono Friends and fans where shocked when he announced that was no longer working on the series.

Kemono Friends
‘Kemono Friends’ became a phenomenon during its Winter 2017 run.

Ever since his surprise ouster, Tatsuki has been working on growing irodori, which is a three-person animation studio. Kemono Friends art director Yuuko Shiromizu and animation director Yoshihisa Isa are irodori’s other two members. They’ve been creating little anime shorts on Nico Nico and Youtube with the charming CGI style found in Kemono Friends.

Irodori is taking their next step as they’ve revealed Hentatsu, which is a “hobby anime” featuring two unnamed girls. The work was first teased in early January and features a location shown in Keifuku-san, which is a short produced by irodori.

TATSUKI announced plans to create a TV anime series at Comic Market, which may not be related to Hentatsu.
