Anime director Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood / Scorching Ping Pong Girls) has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Halloween Pajama in Seattle.
Irie is hoping to raise 20 million yen ($178,000) by December 5th to create a 20-minute OVA. If the campaign is successful, the anime is planned to be finished by December 2018.
Irie created the Halloween Pajama manga and ran a successful Kickstarter to localize it in English. The OVA is going to be an adaptation of the Halloween Pajama in Seattle: Dream Catcher chapter, which he has made free to read in English.
Halloween Pajama centers around the 10-year-old Jackie O’Wisp. She meets strange ghosts in her dreams, which leads her to adopt the alter ego of Halloween Pajama. With her newfound powers, Jackie helps guide the ghosts to heaven. But to make sure everything is solved, she has to confront the devil of the dream world.
