Bowsette was unleashed onto the world a few weeks ago, but it feels like her reign has lasted decades. Fans all over the world have been creating art on the character, which first appeared in a fanmade webcomic. Hell, she’s even getting a convention!
But, it turns out that Nintendo created their own Bowsette while developing Super Mario Odyssey.

Super Mario Odyssey‘s primary gameplay gimmick revolves around Cappy, a sentient cap that gives Mario control over select targets…which sounds super ominous.
And that ominous tone seems to be used in this unused storyboard. It looks like Bowser possesses his own Cappy, and he uses it to control Princess Peach. This character is being called Koopa Peach, and unsurprisingly, she’s been receiving a storm of fan art.

The Bowser and Princess Peach ship may never catch one, but their fusions are something else.
