Be prepared to reunite with Hestia, Bell, and the infamous blue ribbon because Danmachi is getting a second season and a theatrical movie! Both announcements were made at the GA Bunko 2918 Happyou Stage event at Wonder Festival
Details are super slim, but the Arrow of the Orion movie will have an original story written by series creator Fujino Omori. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Bell Cranel) and Inori Minase (Hestia) will reprise their roles, but it hasn’t been stated if J.C. Staff will return to produce either project.
Writer Omori and illustrator Suzuhito Yasuda have been working on Danmachi since January 2013. The fantasy series centers around Bell, a boy who becomes an adventurer in order to pick up girls. However, a near-death encounter forces Bell to improve his skills and join Hestia’s Familial to work with a proper party – too bad he’s Hestia’s only member! The minor set back doesn’t stop Bell as he’s more determined than ever to get stronger and meet up with Ais Wallenstein, who is the woman that saved Bell’s life.
J.C. Staff produced a 13 episode adaptation that aired in 2015. They also produced the Ais-centric spin-off series Sword Oratoria, which aired in 2017.
