CloverWorks is one of the hottest new studios in the industry. They’ve helped produced Darling in the Franxx, Persona 5 the Animation, and Yotsuiro Biyori.
Up until now, they’ve been working under A-1 Pictures — but not anymore! CloverWorks will be working on their own going forward, the company will be producing projects without oversight from A-1 Pictures.
CloverWorks will receive 100% investment from Aniplex, which also invests in A-1 Pictures. The studio also has 100 million yen ($877,940) capital funds in their bank. Their president will be Akira Shimizu, whose production credits include Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, and Sound of the Sky.
CloverWorks issuing a statement saying, “Each studio would like to make a contribution by creating good production with original production system and characteristics for a developing animation market in the future.”
The company’s future projects will include The Promised Neverland, Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia, and provide help on Fairy Tail: The Final Season.
