Hunter x Hunter and Berserk strike fear in the hearts of readers due to their constant hiatuses, but let’s not forget about Black Lagoon.
Rei Hiroe resumed working on Black Lagoon in May 2017 following a three-year break. Fans rejoiced as his crisp art, dark sense of humor, and exciting action scenes were finally returning. However, all good things don’t last because he’s now temporarily shelving the series.
Hiroe wrote enough content to for Shogakukan to publish an 11th collected volume – the first to be published since volume 10 came out in 2015. It’s said that Hiroe is taking a break to write a compiled book volume. He has taken breaks from Black Lagoon in the past to write one-shot stories.
Black Lagoon will return at an unspecified time in the future.
