Guess what? The lovely dragons of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid are getting a new anime! Leaks of the manga’s eighth volume included a wraparound jacket with the announcement, but fans were skeptical that it was a fake — now you don’t have to worry.

Comic Natalie and Japanese manga readers confirmed that the wraparound jacket wasn’t a cruel joke. However, it wasn’t revealed if Kyoto Animation would return to produce the second season. Fans will notice that Tohru’s design on the announcement looks just like KyoAni’s version, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation. The anime’s debut window wasn’t announced.
Coolkyoushinja’s launched the hit comedy series in 2013, and they began writing the manga’s final arc last October. KyoAni debuted the anime’s first season in 2017.
