The anime industry is no stranger to having taboo plotlines and pushing the boundaries of animated gore. However, Japan has strengthened TV regulation laws in recent years, which have caused some fans to worry that certain anime could be banned in the future.

Gore, extreme ecchi, and cruel parodies found in these anime have fans wondering about their future airings.

 2. Osomatsu-san – 267 votes

1. Gintama – 649 votes

Despite being comedies, fans of Osomatsu-san and Gintama are the most worried about future bans. The staff of Osomatsu-san had to reanimate their parody-heavy debut episode and Gintama had its 232nd episode banned out of fear of offending certain politicians.

Japan doesn’t have a parody exception, so both series may find themselves violating copyright laws without gaining prior consent.
