The Japanese gaming market is flooded with romance games and dating simulators. Most works try to separate themselves with graphic sexual content, whacky characters (birds in Hatoful Boyfriend), or some type of surreal story. Well, the creators of Niitzuma LovelyxCation is providing a new gimmick for the waifu era.
Niitzuma speeds up the early dating sequences and will spend a lot of time on a blissful married life…which includes an actual marriage ceremony. Developer Hibiki Works announced that they will be holding a virtual reality marriage ceremony at a Tokyo chapel that allows fans to “marry” their girl of choice. Tuxedos will be provided upon arrival.
Hibiki Works has yet to disclose the actual location, but the first mass ceremony will be held on June 30, 2017. The private ceremony will have the “groom” change into a tuxedo, slip on a VR headset, and exchange vows with their bride of choice. Niitzuma‘s cast includes:
It’s a pretty clever marketing gimmick for the latest entry tot the x Cation series. Hibiki Works seems confident that they will find enough husband applicants to participate in the ceremony.
