It’s been a rough few months for Dragon Ball Super fans. In January, it was announced that Super will come to close in March with the conclusion of the Universe Survival Arc. More importantly, Bulma’s voice actress Hiromi Tsuru passed away in November from an aortic dissection.
Tsuru recorded dialogue up through episode 128, which will air this Sunday. Toei Animation has also taken the time announced that Aya Hisakawa will be Bulma’s new voice actress. The studio confirmed that Hisakawa will voice Bulma for the foreseeable future of the Dragon Ball franchise and not just Dragon Ball Super.
Japanese fans got a little taste of Hisakawa’s work during a Kao’s Magiclean commercial. The short spot features Bulma putting Vegeta to work by having him clean the bathroom – which is surely his toughest fight yet.

Hisakawa is an industry veteran whose credits include Skuld (Oh My Goddess!), Kerberos (Cardcaptor Sakura), Yuki Soma (Fruits Basket), and Sailor Mercury (Sailor Moon). Are looking forward to Hisakawa voicing Bulma?
