The sequel series will debut in April 2018 after the rebroadcast of Steins;Gate finishes. Also, the cast members from the first anime and previous visual novels will reprise their roles for Steins;Gate 0.

However, a few shakeups with the production staff are happening. Kenichi Kawamura (Rozen MaidenSoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation Qualidea Code) is the anime’s new director and Tomoshige Inayoshi (Buddy Complex) is the new character designer. Jukki Hanada will return to write the scripts and White Fox will return to produce the animation.

Steins;Gate 0 is a sequel to Steins;Gate. Tired of being a failure, Okabe gives up on being a mad scientist in a ploy to forget the past. Just when Okabe’s life seems to become normal, he meets a neuroscientist named Maho, who tells him about an artificial intelligence system she is working on. Okabe agrees to become a tester, but the simulations produced bring back painful memories and lead to new tragedies.
