Zokuowarimonogatari, which is the final book of the series’ ‘Final Season’, is slated for release sometime in 2018. The book contains the Koyomi Reverse arc, which takes place after Koyomi’s college entrance exams and before attending college. Uncertain about his future, Koyomi accidentally stumbles into a mirror world one morning with no way to communicate with Shinobu. The arc is chronologically set before Hanamonogatari.
The adaptation was revealed in a booklet that was included with the home video release of Monogatari II: Ougi Dark.
Zokuowarimonogatari is the last book of the “Final Season” of Monogatari, Nisio Oisin began writing the all-new ‘Monster Season’, which follows a 23-year-old Koyomi Araragi working as a police officer. The first book was published in July, and Shaft hasn’t announced any adaptation plans of that project yet.
