Sexy Shrine Maiden Bikini Gets Crowdfunding Campaign to Turn Ecchi Dreams into Reality

Japanese illustrator cccpo drew a picture of a Shinto shrine maiden wearing a bikini version of the standard miko garb. Naturally, the internet went a little crazy over cccpo’s sexy drawing, which got the attention of apparel label Mocolle.

The pair has teamed up to launch a crowdfunding campaign to make the miko bikini a reality. Previously, Mocolle ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to create miko loungewear.

Mocolle has enlisted the help of cosplayer Akira Itsuki to model the swimsuit for the campaign. They not that while the bikini is meant for cosplay, it can be used as a swimsuit due to the materials that are being used.

The crowdfunding campaign is running on Campfire with a fundraising goal of 300,000 yen ($2,700). As of this writing, they have raised half of their goal and have 31 days before the deadline. There are different donation tiers; the 3,500 yen tier nets you a poster of Itsuki and a copy of cccpo’s illustration while a 20,000 yen tier score you a one-hour photo shoot with Itsuki.

Anything is possible with the power of crowdfunding!
