The Chicago native has been quickly climbing up the Billboard charts with his previous single “Pick it Up,” which features A$AP Rocky – who’s also known to use Japanese imagery in his videos. Thanks to the buzz, “Japan” has gained over 1 million views on Youtube in four days.

Famous Dex is the latest rapper to incorporate anime visuals in his songs, with Lil’ Uzi Vert and Tyga leading the pack.

What do you think of Famous Dex’s Japanese influenced music video?

Majored in Music @Duke, but realized that being a Jazz singer wasn't a real job. Now I spend my days watching anime and writing about the music industry. Glad to be in the new round of GB hires. Look forward to my coverage.
