Ufotable is gearing up for the release of Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly, which is planned to debut later this year. While a concrete release date hasn’t been announced, a new trailer for the movie has been released.
Lost Butterfly is the second film in a trilogy that adapts the Heaven’s Feel route of Fate/stay night. The route focuses on a dark relationship between Sakura Matou and Shirou Emiya while exploring the lore behind the Holy Grail War.
The first film, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel I. presage flower, was a box office hit that earned 1.5 billion yen ($13.7 million) last year in Japan. A North American theatrical run of the subbed film ran last year, and Fathom Events will host a dub theatrical screening on June 5 and June 7.
The Heaven’s Feel trilogy is produced by ufotable and features much of the same cast and staff that worked on the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works series.
