An anime movie is also planned for Summer 2018. No details were revealed for the movie at the event other than a teaser.

The Seven Deadly Sins

Nakaba Suzuki’s manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since October 10, 2012. Meliodas is the leader of The Seven Deadly Sins, which were once a group of knights in Brittania. They disbanded after supposedly failing to overthrow the Liones Kingdom. Officially, they were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors spread of their survival. Ten years after the event, the Holy Knights stage a coup d’état and become the tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth Lionese, the third princess, embarks on a journey to find The Seven Deadly Sins and enlist their help to defeat the Holy Knights.

A-1 Pictures adapted the manga into a 24-episode anime that aired between October 2014 to March 2015. The studio also developed the Signs of Holy War OVA series, which is an original story written by Suzuki. Signs of Holy War is four episodes and debuted on August 28, 2016. Netflix has the international streaming rights for both entries.
