The international community can no longer import anime published by Avex Pictures. This includes anime like Yuri!!! on Ice, Osomatsu-san, and King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm.
No reason for the export ban was given, and customers were notified by an email sent by CDJapan, which is a popular online retailer that exports Japanese goods. However, the ban is said to affect every online retailer that carries Avex Pictures anime. Proxy services should not be affected, since you are paying someone to buy something for you.

The email states that titles published by Avex Pictures will no longer be available as of February 15, 2017. However, order made before the export ban will still be fulfilled. Avex Pictures is banning the exportation of Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs of their titles, but figures and other merchandise will not be banned.
It’s a very odd move, especially coming off the fact that the second volume of Yuri!!! on Ice has topped the Oricon charts after selling 36,470 copies. We’ll have to wait until the third volume to see how much this export ban affects series sales.
Note: This is a ban for the Japanese copies. Fans will only be able to buy copies once they are licensed and released in their regions.
