D.Gray-man Hallow Has Home Video Release Canceled

From indefinite delay to cancellation.

Aniplex revealed that the home video release for D.Gray-man has been canceled due to “various circumstances.” The anime’s Blu-ray and DVDs were originally scheduled for release in September 2016, but were indefinitely delayed to improve the quality of the releases.

However, looks like some things cropped up that caused Aniplex to cancel the release altogether. No word if this cancellation will affect Funimation’s ability to release D.Gray-man Hallow outside of Japan, since they are the license holder.

D.Gray-man Hallow originally aired during the Summer 2016 season and ran for 12 episodes. It picked up after the first D.Gray-man anime, which aired in 2006 – 2008 for 103 episodes, and features a new voice cast.

D.Gray-man was originally created by Katsura Hoshino, and has been published by Weekly Shonen Jump since 2004. The series centers around Allen Walker, an exorcist who battles deadly creatures called Akuma. These creatures are created by Millennium Earl, who wants to destroy humanity.

D.Gray-man fans just can’t catch a break.
