The first Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection PV has been released for the first time since it’s unveiling at a fan event in December 2016!
The project is set to take place after several years after Lelouch’s “Zero Requiem” plan to end all war and to usher an era of peace. Taking place after season 2, director Goro Taniguchi confirmed [highlight for spoilers: that Lelouch is alive and that Lelouch of Resurrection will not be about an alternate or a clone version of the character].
Taniguchi has not revealed if Lelouch of the Resurrection will be a movie or a TV series, but the voice cast of surviving characters will return to reprise their roles. No release window for the project has been announced, but Code Geass team is currently working on a three-part compilation film project, which will feature re-recorded lines and new scenes. The first movie will open sometime in 2017.
