A Trio of Remastered ‘Dragon Ball Z’ Movies Get a Theatrical Event

Fathom Events and Toei Animation are teaming up to bring a trio of popular Dragon Ball Z movies to North American theaters. All screenings with feature FUNImation’s remastered dubs, and attendees will score an exclusive trading card and view “exclusive content.”

The first screening will be 1993’s Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, which will be in theaters on September 15th and 17th.

Dragon Ball Z

Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan is the franchise’s introduction of Broly, a powerful Saiyan warrior who threatens the universe. Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan have their skills tested as the Legendary Super Saiyan is awakened.

 

The second screening will be a double-feature of 1990’s Bardock – The Father of Goku and 1995’s Fusion Reborn, which will be in theaters on November 3rd and 5th.

Dragon Ball Z

Bardock – The Father of Goku introduces Bardock, who is a Saiyan warrior that is tired of working for Frieza. After conquering a planet, he is cursed with a foresight ability and witnesses Frieza’s betrayal of the Saiyans.

Fusion Reborn features Goku and Vegeta reluctantly teaming up to face against Janemba, a demon who threatens the existence of The Other World. At the same time, villains like Frieza and Adolf Hitler run amok in the living world.
