A Look Back At Little Witch Academia Official Art From 2013

From its humble beginnings as part of the Young Animator Training Project‘s Anime Mirai 2013, to a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, Little Witch Academia has had a wild ride from the short film released four years ago to the hit TV series today.

The story continues to follow Atsuko Kagari, an ordinary girl who joins the renowned witch school for young women, Luna Nova Academy, in her quest to be like her magical idol, Shiny Chariot.

Let’s have a look at her early character design and some concept art from Yoh Yoshinari himself, first published in the March 2013 issue of Animestyle Magazine, along with some Pre-production artwork from the Kickstarter.
