A Certain Magical Index Editor Asks Fans to “Wait a Little Longer for Season 3”

An announcement might be around the corner!

At the end of the “Dengeki Bunko Spring Festival 2017” fan event, A Certain Magical Index producer Kazuma Miki asked the audience to, “please wait a little longer for season 3!” His statement came after presenting the A Certain Magical Virtual-On action video game.

This is not the first time Miki has asked fans to be patient about A Certian Magical Index Season 3 news. Last year, he told fans, “Index anime season 3 is plausible, so please wait!”

Even though Miki is no longer the Editor-in-Chief of Dengeki Bunko, which publishes A Certain Magical Index, he is still vocal about the series. He started a company called Straight Edge, which is a talent agency and a content producer, so he could be involved in any future Index anime.

A Certain Magical Index is a science-fantasy light novel written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Kiyotaka Haimura. It follows Touma Kamijou, a high school boy with the lowest psychic rank, but possesses the ability to negate an opponent’s abilities. He meets a strange girl named Index, who is being hunted down by an organization after she memorized a series of forbidden grimoires. The light novel was published from 2004 to 2010 and leads into a sequel series titled New Testament: A Certain Magical Index.

J.C. Staff adapted the light novels into two 24 episode seasons and a movie. They also animated the A Certain Scientific Railgun spin-off series.

Will you keep patiently waiting for news of A Certain Magical Index Season 3?
